The $130 million redevelopment of the stadium increased the Ground’s capacity from 8000 seats to 25,000, and becoming the home of the Gold Coast Football Club from 2011.

NDYLIGHT was engaged to design the architectural and sports lighting for this project. The lighting of the public concourses and grandstands uses indirect lighting, which also accentuates the form of the structure.

The interior lighting includes the design of members facilities to a standard higher than usually seen at sports stadia, to meet the AFL’s aspirations for the development of a member profile in this growth area for AFL.
