Council House first opened in 1963 and became known as the most important example of modernist architecture in Perth. The building’s distinctive external T-shaped ‘sunbreaker’ panels are a distinctive part of the building’s appearance and provided both concealment and illumination opportunities for a refreshed lighting scheme.
